Founded in 2016 in Mallorca, Spain, Aeolian blend melodic death metal with the darkness and aggression of 90s-inspired black metal. Their music combines melodic intensity with atmospheric depth, while their lyrics explore humanity’s relationship with a fragile and increasingly hostile environment.
Throughout their career, Aeolian have shared stages with bands such as Gaerea, Saturnus, Crisix, Ereb Altor, Helevorn, Belore, Ontborg and Ancient Settlers, as well as performing at festivals such as Full Metal Holiday. In 2025, the band further expanded their live presence with the seven-date Echoes Tour, taking their music to Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Spain.
The band have released three albums: Silent Witness (2018), The Negationist (2020) and Echoes of the Future (2023). The latter two were released through Black Lion Records and mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios.
Aeolian continue to evolve their signature melodic approach, embracing an increasingly darker, heavier and more aggressive sound while retaining the melodic identity that has defined the band since its beginnings. Their fourth album is currently in an advanced stage of production, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the band’s evolution.
